In The Beginning......

I bought my sail boat in London last year, it wasn't very expensive and wasn't exactly the QE2 but we got it out on the water it floated which i suppose is a big bonus when it comes to boats , we made a mistake putting the mast up and decided maybe we would leave sailing this year and scooted about using the outboard motor ( a whole 2.2hp !!!!) which earned the boat the nickname dead slow or stop!.As you can guess my knowledge of boats was very limited and I made a very wise descision and bought "The Dummies Guide To Sailing" which seemed to fit my scenario perfectly , I also purchased a GPS (a very very very wise idea) .This was pretty much it for the first year took friends and family out a few times but nothing exciting due to the distance of the mooring from my house (2hr drive) it wasn't possible to go out on it other than the odd Saturday.
Thats the story to date , i've started the restore process so stay tuned!.
